RESEARCH
Questions we are working to answer
The Founding Hospital Program is designed to generate meaningful observations over time. Our long-term interest is in independent scientific evaluation of Glaze in clinical contexts — and in building relationships with researchers who are asking the same questions.
Independent by design
We do not evaluate our own platform. Well of Art builds the technology and the clinical implementations — the environment in which research can happen. The research itself is designed, conducted, and published independently by our research partners: study design, data collection, analysis, and peer-reviewed publication remain entirely in their hands.
This separation is deliberate. Findings about Glaze should be credible precisely because they do not come from us.
Knology
We are establishing a research partnership with Knology — a non-profit social science organization with long experience in human-subjects research across museums, libraries, and institutions serving children and families. Within this partnership, Knology would lead study design, data collection and analysis, and scientific communication — independently of Well of Art.

OPERATIONAL QUESTIONS
01
How should the structure of creative experiences in Glaze be adapted to fit different clinical environments and patient populations?
02
Which aspects of the Glaze experience should be customizable to best support therapeutic practice?
RESEARCH QUESTIONS
01
Can engaging in a structured creative process through Glaze reduce anxiety and strengthen patients' sense of agency during treatment?
02
How could the clinical impact of Glaze on patient wellbeing be meaningfully evaluated over time?
Structured and repeatable — each guided step in Glaze can be observed, adapted, and measured
FOR RESEARCHERS AND PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS
We are actively looking for researchers interested in studying structured creative engagement in pediatric care. If you are working in this area — whether in clinical psychology, child life, behavioral medicine, or arts and health — and would like to explore a collaboration, we welcome the conversation. The Boston conference in September 2026 is one opportunity to meet and discuss.
